Astroscale is a leading company for on-orbit services, contributing to safe and sustainable space environment, utilizations and operations. The company delivers a variety of innovative and scalable on-orbit servicing solutions, including life extension, in-orbit refueling, in-situ space situational awareness, end-of-life satellite disposal, and active debris removal (ADR). In 2024, Astroscale Japan launched the ADRAS-J mission (JAXA's CRD2 Phase I), and successfully demonstrated one of the world’s first Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) technologies in orbit with an existing piece of large space debris—a world-first achievement that accomplished a close approach within 15 meters. Building on this success, Astroscale Japan is working closely with government and industry stakeholders to advance technology demonstrations toward 2030 — including debris capture, in-orbit refueling, and servicing in geostationary orbit — paving the way for the realization of sustainable on-orbit servicing.
