アジア・パシフィック・ファンデーション・カナダのインド太平洋リサーチ・フェロー及び、NATO国防大学シニア・アソシエート・フェロー。慶應義塾大学SFC研究所上席所員を務める。

ベルギー・ゲント大学で政治学博士号取得。国際交流基金の日本研究フェロー(2021年)。日本人として初めてNATO国防大学フェローに選ばれる（ローマ、イタリア）。著作に『日本のインド太平洋における防衛関与』(Springer 2024年)、『NATOと日本の宇宙安全保障協力の可能性』(NATO国防大学2024年)、日本と欧州の防衛技術パートナーシップの深化（アジア・パシフィック・レビュー 2025年）などがある。

Nanae Baldauff, Ph.D., is Indo-Pacific Research Fellow of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, and Senior Associate Fellow (non-resident) at the NATO Defense College. She is a Senior Researcher at Keio Research Institute at SFC, Japan.

She is the author of a monograph “Japan’s Defense Engagement in the Indo-Pacific: Deterrence, Strategic Partnership, and Stable Order Building” (Spring 2024) and authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and policy briefs, including Japan’s National Security in Space and Europe, the case for NATO-Japan space cooperation, and Japan-Europe defense technology partnership.
