Major General Nozomu Yoshitomi served in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force for more than thirty years as a field artillery officer, an intelligence analyst, and a researcher. He is now a professor in the College of Risk Management, Nihon University in Tokyo. His research covers Japan’s defense strategy, defense posture of Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, and humanitarian assistance/disaster relief. He is also an associate of BMT, a maritime-orientated high-end design house.
