Robert D. Eldridge, Ph.D., is an award-winning author, scholar, and former public official who serves as an advisor to numerous regional organizations including the Asia-Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management and the Global Risk Mitigation Foundation. He was a tenured associate professor at the Graduate School of International Public Policy, Osaka University, prior to becoming the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff, Government and External Relations, Marine Corps Forces Japan from 2009-2015. During his time with the Marine Corps, he helped plan and lead Operation Tomodachi. In 2012, he received the Prime Minister Nakasone Yasuhiro Award for academic and public service contributions.


ロバート・D・エルドリッヂ(エルドリッヂ研究所・代表)

1968年、米国生まれ、99年、神戸大学大学院より政治学博士号。大阪大学准教授、在日海兵隊顧問等を経て現職。在学中、阪神淡路大震災の体験を契機に、日本の危機管理、防災の研究・提言を行う。東日本大震災で米軍救援活動の立案、実行に携わる。グローバル・リスク・ミティゲーション基金・理事(北アジア担当)、日本政策研究フォーラム上席研究員。『オキナワ論』、『トモダチ作戦』、『次の大震災に備えるために』、『人口減少と自衛隊』多数。
